The Foundation's parent organization conducts health care research, development and education.
To serve as a catalyst that engages residents and communities in shaping a health system that provides universal access to quality health care and promotes health in Connecticut. We believe that health care is a fundamental right and that our work is part of a broader movement for social and economic justice.

Our Long-Term Vision:

The Foundation will work to achieve the following vision:

Connecticut will have a system of affordable, quality health care that is accessible to all Connecticut residents. People and communities will be healthy and live in a just society that focuses on prevention and the health of all people. The health care workforce will be ethnically and racially diverse. Its workplace will value employees and the people they serve.

Goals

With its core partners and allies, the Foundation, will help create:
  • A broad base of support for universal health care in Connecticut.
  • Educated and more engaged health care consumers.
  • A concrete proposal to establish a universal health system in Connecticut.
  • A statewide awareness of health care disparities and commitment to eliminating them.
  • A network of advocates as strong voices in the campaign for universal health care.
