Celebrating 10 Years of Activist Health Philanthropy

It’s our 10-year anniversary and Universal Health Care Foundation of Connecticut has an amazing story to tell. We are pleased to kick off our anniversary with an interactive timeline that depicts the major milestones of a decade in activist health philanthropy. We will update the timeline regularly, so come back to visit us often.

From our inception to passage of SustiNet − Connecticut’s new health care reform law that addresses access, quality and cost − our story is a dynamic mosaic of people in action. We wish to take this opportunity to thank the many residents of Connecticut; our philanthropic partners; business, labor and clergy leaders; health care providers; advocates and policymakers who’ve made and continue to make the work of the foundation possible. Our list is long. We will acknowledge specific contributors and supporters as part of our ongoing updates and posts.

In addition to the interactive timeline, we will commemorate our anniversary with activities and several special publications, including a retrospective narrative and a series of profiles spotlighting some of the individuals and groups who comprise our story. We will keep you posted. In the meantime, click on the slides of the timeline to learn more about us and our journey on the road to achieving quality, affordable health care for everyone in Connecticut.
